Acquirement of a Water-Jet Construction

PWS sets the first step for the Competence Center “Cutting”: Water jet cutting is a precise cold cutting process for a wide range of materials such as titanium, (high-grade) steel or aluminum. Using a high-pressure water jet (using an abrasive) we can cut material thicknesses up to 160mm. Depending on customer specification, we distinguish between separation, production or quality cutting

Due to the 360° rotatable and swiveling angled cutting head system, the construction becomes a 5-axis cutting system (X-, Y-,Z-, rotation and swivel axis of the head). This puts us in the position, to produce oblique contours in one cut. The cutting edges are not changed in their structure, so there are no discolorations or micro cracks.

The table measurements of the system are sufficiently dimensioned. We process all prevalent board sizes from small to large format. Equipped with two efficient high-pressure pumps, we can ensure continuous production without downtime. With a pump capacity of 37 kW each, we can generate a water pressure of 4.100 bar.
